Summer vacation is wonderful. What child doesn't love the idea of having days and days of no school, no homework, and no teachers? Unfortunately, summer is also a time that can result in learning regression, especially in reading and math. So what can parents do to ensure that the summer months are engaging, a continued time for learning, but still a vacation? Lots of things, depending on the age and interests of your child, your summer location, and budget.
