The film is based on the true story of the inter-racial love affair between the first president of Botswana Seretse Khama and his wife Ruth Williams Khama, whose marriage in 1948 sparked an international outrage causing the couple to be exiled from Bechuanaland in 1951.
A United Kingdom is currently without a release date, but expect it around awards season.
